Unesco World Heritage, Split is (after Fiume), the first harbour of the Croatian coat. Big economical, cultural and tourist centre, split is the hearth of Dalmatia.
It’s split in two parts: the old town surrounding by the walls of Diocleziano’s Palace and the new ones, overlooking the sea and the hills. It’s a very particular fascination city, soaked with history and thousand-year culture. Other than the Diocleziano’s Palace (one of most important buildings from the cultural and architectural point of view), sights to seen are: the National Theatre, several ancient churches and other important archaeological sites
You can easily reach Split by flight (Croatia Airlines) or by ferries (Snav company during the summer time, or Jadrolinija all the year).
